Pastor David Cavazos
Pastor David Cavazos is a retired military veteran with 25 years of service in the United States
Air Force and has served for over 34 years in ministry. He has served extensively in Worship
Ministry, in addition to serving in Associate Pastorships and now Senior Pastor of At the Cross
Worship Center.
Pastor Cavazos hails from Port Isabel, TX where he entered military service into the United
States Air Force Academy and earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering Mechanics,
and then a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University. Upon
completing pilot training in the United States Air Force, he went on to serve as a Fighter Track
Instructor in the T-38 Talon, and then an Evaluator Pilot in the E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and
Control System (AWACS) where he ultimately retired as an Air Force Squadron Commander.
Currently, Pastor Cavazos is pursing a Master’s Degree in Biblical Archeology.
During his military tenure, Pastor Cavazos earned his pastoral certification through Global
University, and currently holds ministerial credentials through World Evangelism Fellowship.
He has been married for over 24 years to his lovely wife Rebekah, who also attended the United
States Air Force Academy, where they both played and sang on the Chapel Worship Team.
Together they have three children: David II, Gabriel, and Analise, who all serve on the church
worship team and have traveled with the group to host ministerial events across the nation.
Pastor Cavazos gives total praise to the Lord for bringing him safely through his military service,
for his amazing family and friends, and blessing him with the greatest opportunity in the world,
which is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in these latter hours of our world’s history, just before
the return of Christ.
